So now the government wants us to bail out the very people that put us in this situation?Are we that stupid?The very people responsible for this now want us to trust them!Hopefully I understand this .95% of the people that have mortgages are paying them on time…5% are not.And our Super economy can’t take a 5% loss? I am amazed in the lack of caring about the fact that the politicians on the banking oversight committees just HOSED US!!They have been sitting and watching what was going on and allowing the financial markets go crazy.Now some people may think of this and want to blame either a Democrat or Republican . I want them ALL held accountable!!De-regulation in the financial markets was not a good idea for a multitude of reasons but the best is that financial instituitions have lobbyists and lobbyists Bribe the politicians! Yes I said it BRIBE!Anytime a politician takes money, trips, work on their summer home ,hookers, lap dances they are being bribed.If they accept it that is a bribe because the lobbyist giving it is hoping you will see it their way. The American people(remember us the ones that actually vote) need to wake up and DEMAND that our ELECTED officials out law lobbying by bribing.I don’t want to outlaw lobbying all together, just consider anything above $1000 dollars by any individual or buisness given to a poliitician a bribe. Outlaw any other types of gifts.As much as I would like to oulaw lobbying I think tha would put the backbone(the working men and women and small buisnesses) of our country at a disadvantage.I am not for bigger government but when it comes to keeping an eye on wha the government s spending OUR money on I don’t think an INDEPENDENT watchdog group is a bad idea!
The Republicans finally got clue! Not only is she Intelligent, Conservative , Fiscally responsible But she is not hard on the eyes!! All sexist remarks aside . The fact is that I have waited for a Woman to come up and take charge. As men we have been running it for a LONG time and look what its gotten us! a WAR(Iraq) THAT WE NEVER SHOULD HAVE UNDERTAKEN TO BEGIN WITH! We should have been content on routing the Taliban in Afghanistan, and then if we still needed to go into Iraq then MAYBE we would have if necessary.
Now that Obama has gone to Europe he is starting to look more Presidential. McCain is just looking like an old man that just wants to be President, Obama looks and acts like he already is.I am very disappointed the Republican party has not lit a fire under him.There is no excitement for McCain.I think he is taking for granted the fact that he is the Republican party nominee.How about some passion and commitment. I am not an Obama supporter but I am beginning to see why a lot of younger are supporting him.He is talking the talk and starting to walk the walk. Step it up or Step OUT!!
I’m not sure if this is going to be a good thing ,but I don’t see any way of stopping it. John McCain is not going to beat Obama in the general election. Obama is on a ride that not even he is sure where it will take him.
This reminds me of the Robert Redford movie The Candidate, where upon actually winning the election that he was suppose to actually lose he had no idea what to do!
I am not saying Obama can do any worse than Bush. He and his cronies got us into an unnecessary war.Obama needs to talk to our enemies but keep the big stick where we can get to it when we need it!!
I see Obama allowing the Pro Illegals to have the amnesty they want so badly.The citizens of this country might as well get use to the fact that we are going to have amnesty!McCain or Obama would be the same.Hillary would also have had amnesty.Since we don’t have anyone who really listens to the CITIZENS of this country anymore It Is Coming!
This has nothing to do with race . If the man is qualified and gives me the promise that he will fight for the Citizens of this country then I wouldn’t care what race he was. So far none have.I don’t think the answer is selecting someone just because it would be a good thing to have the first minority in the White house. He has to have some ideas . I have not heard any ideas.All I have heard is Hire Me and everything will be alright!
Universal health care is a disaster in Canada and will put us further in bad economic times.Stop putting out our hard earned(and getting harder to earn) tax dollars for people who have broken the law to be in this country and keep them from benefiting from their criminality.
There needs to be an amendment to the constitution that says to count the CITIZENS in an area to decide the representation for the area.Maybe the representation should be decided by how many CITIZENS vote in an area? Maybe this would get people off their asses and vote!
Children born in this country of parents who were illegal when they were born should not become citizens automatically!They should be sent back to their parents country of origin until they become 18 years of age and then only if they will be a benefit to this country should they be allowed back in. At the front of the line.
I do believe Scott McClellan is telling the truth. I think he always wanted to but was at the time not sure if it was being disloyal to his boss President Bush.It has taken him this long to really see that bush lied from the start about the Iraq war. He was used as a pawn in Bushes advisors. I think Bush’s advisors such as Karl Rove ,Rumsfield and Chaney Afghanistan was the real threat not Saddam.
United States was holding Iraq down to a no fly-zone.We could have maintained it.Afghanistan is the country(Actually the Taliban did it)that harbored Bin Laden and his assasins.They were complicit in the attack on 911.We should of focused on their destruction.We should have focused our troops there instead of getting involved in something that we already had control of.
Bush likes to say Iraq was trying to acquire weapons of mass destruction.If we really thought this we could have taken out sites that we suspected of building them.At that time if we had attacked any site that we supected of this. The detractors they would of said that we were wrong to attack a sovereign nation. I guess invading it was better.Bush says that Al-Qaida was conspiring with Saddam.
This was the biggest load of crap I have ever heard. I don’t believe that a man(who wasn’t religous) that attacked his own people with gas and killed thousands of men women and children whom he killed for even thinking about usurping his authority!He would of considered them as big a threat as his own people possibly worse because they would have been able to cause havoc in his country.
There will be a lot more come out about the Bush administration and there will always be those that think he is the greatest President.I for one will not be one. I think he has put our men and women in a situation that was ill advised at the time and is tragic now.
I am tired of watching Politicians getting by with crimes that would put you and I in jail.I don’t understand why we can’t have Reps that are actually of high morals and some kind of ethics.
I don’t understand why people don’t slow down. Everyone is complaining about the high price of gas but no one is slowing down!I have slowed down to 55 MPH is the max I drive.Yes I am that person in the right hand lane going too slow for everyone else.The one everybody flashes their lights at thinking that I will drive faster or just to show me they are there.The only problem is that just makes me drive slower!! But one thing about it is I have cut my fuel useage down by 25%. I read articles saying that slowing down won’t do anything in the long run,but I think that is a load of crap!If we cut our useage by 25% then that is a drop in oil company profits.Let’s see 25% of 100 billion ,that’s 25 billion they would lose.Then they can explain that to the stock holders.
